LOOKING FOR 1,6 JX TD HEAD

HI Everybody...

I am not completely sure yet, but I think that very soon I will need to replace my HEAD on my 1,6 JX TD engine. I think that there are some bad cracks developing.

Anyway, I was told that the new AMC JX HEADs from Spain are not very good...

Can anyone suggest another source for a good JX HEAD? ....like, a good used one, or possible OEM QUALITY NEW? ...are they still available?

Yeah, there was a plane hat at CP on sale for 199bucks, so if your equip is good I would put that one in.

thanks!    "plane hat" do you mean an empty head housing (case)?   ....for 200eur at http://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/  ??    I looked there and can not find it --- but YES YES this sounds like what I want. If you or anyone can help me find the exact link, that will be great!

Ah!!  A few days !!!

OK, I will write them and see what they say...  200eur is GOOD!   Even if my head is actually not cracked I would buy one of those for the future!

Quality difference between  KOLBENSCHMIDT HEADS and  AMC HEADS?

 

Hi Friends...   can anyone recommend which of these two HEAD makers is better? (Germany or Spain)
